That's why we've been playing around with Freckle recently. Not only has it been quietly improving, but when we jumped back in the other day, we noticed they've added

data source visibility.


So, now you can see exactly where enrichment data is coming from, which is a really useful addition - especially with GDPR and data transparency top of mind for UK and EU teams.


Here’s what it does:


At its core, Freckle is an AI-powered enrichment layer that sits on top of your CRM.


It helps you fill in missing data, clean records, and pull in useful signals without needing to manually research or stitch together multiple tools.


You can:


  • Ask for data in natural language (e.g. hiring signals, company info, LinkedIn URLs)

  • Enrich inbound leads, lists, or CRM records automatically

  • Fill in gaps even with minimal starting data

  • See where your data is coming from, thanks to new source visibility (a big win for transparency and compliance)

  • Work in a spreadsheet-style interface to clean and prep data

  • Push everything straight back into your CRM, keeping it as your source of truth

And with the addition of data source visibility, it’s now much easier to trust (and explain) where your data is coming from - which matters more than ever.


As a CRM manager, one thing to monitor… 🔍


  • Data accuracy: As with any enrichment tool, it’s worth spot-checking key fields

  • Source awareness: Now that sources are visible, use that to sense-check reliability

  • Field mapping: Make sure enriched data lands in the right properties

  • Focus: Don’t over-enrich - prioritise data that actually drives decisions

While Freckle isn’t a reporting tool, it does help make your reporting better.


By enriching and cleaning your CRM data, it improves:

  • More built-in analytics on enrichment performance would be helpful

  • Some teams may still want deeper workflow customisation
